Certified Nurse Aide's Schedule is a 120 hour (80) Theory (40) clinical
We offer 3 options to fit your schedule:
- 3 Week Day Classes-seasonal
In this course, you will learn introduction to health care, patient rights, ethical behaviors, and how to obtain skills, vital signs (i.e, blood pressure, pulse respiration, height, and weight). You will also learn aspects of death and dying as well as postmortem care. Students develop professional assessment skills, and educated adherence during the clinical rotation in a real healthcare atmosphere.
Upon completion of this course, approved by the Illinois Dept. of Public Health, student apply for the State certification exam and for employment in nursing homes, hospital,s and home health agencies.
The following is a list of items that you will need and will be discussed during orientation class.
Participants are required to have:
Valid U.S. Social Security Number
State Exam Application
Criminal background application (completed)
Scrubs (instructor will inform you of the color)
Blood Pressure Cuff
Wristwatch with a second hand
T.B test lab results
Mosby's Essentials, 5th Edition text book.
All classes are priced at $1000.00. Upon registration, a $125.00 deposit is required to hold a seat. Criminal background check release form, will be provided to all student upon completion of classes.
Basic Life Support for Health Care Providers/CPR
All classes are taught by a Certified American Heart Association Instructor.
**All cards are provided by American Heart Association and are good for two (2) years.
Participants in course can be, but not limited, to all Allied Health Care workers or providers.
Classes are held twice a month. Please call our office and we will be happy to assist you with any questions or in registering for the next scheduled class. If you are a current student, please contact your instructor.
Cost is $60.00 for initial Certification and $35.00 for re-certification.
